Take no 2 to City Square, walk across the square and catch a No 3 bus on Shengli lu, this will take you on a windy road to Lan Ting, allow about an hour 20 mins. Follow the crowd in Lan Ting. The entrance is a short walk from the bus stop. Take your employee card and it should only cost 40RMB. Quite popular with Chinese tourists but it is a big place to walk around, many areas to view writing and things to do with writing. You can even practise your own strokes in sand or water! Great scenery and a nice relaxing day or half day. At the exit, there are plenty of shops to buy all your knick knacks. To return either a No3 or a No 303 which waits across the road. 303 winds through country roads before heading up Chengnan street and then turning into Jie Feng Lu.

A very nice but deserted place. It's a pity that there was no electricty to have a look on the ceramic inkwells.
But we crossed the river and found a path on the right to a magnificent bamboo forest!
